Rehearsal Talk
Robert Robinson (DE/UK), Mónica García Vicente (DE/ES)
Dance productions are the result of a long creative process. This evening will offer insights into the start of that process. Robert Robinson from the UK and Mónica García Vicente from Spain are both freelance choreographers based in their adopted home of Hanover. Robinson creates his own pieces and organises charity ballet galas alongside his engagement as a dancer with the Hanover State Ballet under Marco Goecke. García Vicente is a former dancer with the Hanover State Opera who stayed in the city after her engagement ended in 2017, regularly choreographing new productions.
This evening the spotlight is on these two upcoming talents, illuminating their creative processes for the public. As well as presenting excerpts of their current pieces, they will talk about the subjects they explore, the methods they use, and the contexts in which they produce their work. This is a rare opportunity to talk to the choreographers and experience the rehearsal process live and in person.
